Our Story
Encurio began in 2010 with a leap of faith – and a clear vision.
After years working at Deloitte and other large and local tax firms, founder Tiffany Vaught realized that something fundamental was missing. The work was technically strong, but it wasn’t built for people. Clients weren’t receiving the strategic support they needed. These deeper, more meaningful parts of the job – educating business owners, helping them grow, being a long-term thought partner – were rare.
Business owners require deeper support to be successful. As a business owner herself, Tiffany was intimately familiar with those needs. She knew how isolating it could feel to make big decisions without the right advisors and how powerful it is to have a team that’s responsive, clear, and deeply invested in your success.
She set out to provide something different. She didn’t want to just file returns and move on. She wanted to create something that would actually make a difference: a firm that treats small business owners with the respect and depth of service they deserve.
What started as a small tax practice slowly expanded into the company we are today: a team of tax professionals, accountants, and strategic advisors who do more than keep you compliant. We help you make smart decisions. We dig deep. We tell the truth, follow through, and hold a high bar for both accuracy and impact.
When it was time to rebrand, we chose a name that reflects the two traits we see in the clients who thrive: Endurance and Curiosity. Thus, Encurio was born.
